Shooter’s Academy presents the NRA Basic CCW Course as the classroom component of its training program to prepare students for the New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun.

This 8hr course covers the goal of the NRA Basic CCW class is to teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal protection.

After completion of this course, students can schedule one on one live fire training lessons and qualification testing with a Shooter's Academy instructor. Each lesson is 90 minutes in length and costs $125. During this training students undergo a shooting evaluation and are provided corrective instruction, basic defensive shooting drills, emergency reloading drills, malfunction drills, and holster draw practice. The lesson culminates with the live fire qualification test.

The number of lessons needed to pass the required CCARE Qualification Course of Fire depends on the skill level and progress of the student.
