NRA First Step Pistol (101)

NRA First Step Pistol Shooting Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. This course is broken down into two days, Day -1in 4hrs of classroom, Day-2 on the range will be scheduled one on one with the Instructor. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation (semi-auto & revolver); ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the standing position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules card, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, and course completion certificate.
After completion of this course, students can schedule one on one live fire training lessons and qualification testing with a Shooter's Academy instructor. Each lesson is 90 minutes in length and costs $125. During this training students undergo a shooting evaluation and are provided corrective instruction
